1930s Glass Desk Clock
A 1930s glass clock from the collection of Vito Giallo — 91 year old artist, antiques dealer, and quintessential New Yorker. Vito learned the antiques trade in the 1950s, and was in the trade for 50 years until his retirement. He sold to the who’s who of New York from his shop at 966 Madison Avenue.
One of a kind. The clock is in need of a visit to a watchmaker for repair, and is priced accordingly. A suggestion is also to set the clock to a time of day that is meaningful to you as an object to celebrate the bittersweet gift of time. Measures 2 x 3.5 x 1.5 inches.
In honor of our collaboration with Vito, the Catbird Giving Fund is proud to make a donation of $10,000 to SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization in their mission to look out for LGBTQ+ elders.
