Jenni's Apartment – Williamsburg, Brooklyn
An early morning spent with our Williamsburg neighbor, Jenni. She shares our love of quiet luxury; think elevated basics, a few forever treasures, and an arsenal of the best Korean skincare. Effortless in the best way, a true Catbird girl.
The most meaningful piece of jewelry I own is
my sapphire necklace. The stone came from sapphire earrings that my grandmother used to wear, that she passed on to my mom. My mom wanted to share the heirloom - so she had three of the stones reset into matching necklaces - one for her, my sister, and me. One day, we plan to rework the remaining stones into three matching rings. I love my necklace because it represents a piece of family history, and the special bond that I have with my mom and my sister. My engagement ring is also incredibly meaningful to me. My fiance put so much thought into the design.
My favorite thing about living in Williamsburg is
that it feels like a neighborhood. I really enjoy going to my local coffee shop, restaurants, bodegas, and knowing the people who work there and running into familiar faces. The neighborhood has changed a lot in the past few years - new establishments and buildings. I'm trying to get used to it, and I just hope that Williamsburg doesn't lose its charm.
My signature outfit is
varies based on my mood, but my fool-proof go to is a white crewneck tee with vintage Levi's, and white sneakers.
My beauty ritual is
making sure to take care of my skin before I go to bed. I am Korean - we are serious about our skincare - and I learned about the many steps of skincare at a young age. I cleanse using a makeup wipe, oil cleanser, and foaming cleanser, then use a toner, essence, serum, and moisturizer.
I look for inspiration in
strong females, both in culture and in my life, like my friends.
