Lindsay's Apartment – Bushwick, Brooklyn
Lindsay is the fashion market editor at The Cut, where her discerning eye seems to spot the very thing you desire each season, before you yourself might know it. She welcomed us into her sunlit home for an afternoon jewel date.
The most meaningful piece of jewelry I own is
my engagement ring! At first I was very nervous to give my fiancé clues on what piece of jewelry I would want to wear for the rest of my life, but once I realized that it’s okay not to want a standard solitaire stone and find something that feels more unique, I was able to articulate what I love about vintage jewelry and what color stones I’m drawn to. Now every time I look down at my ring I know it was meant for me to wear.
My style can best be described as
eclectic. I love mixing different styles of things, but overall it usually comes down to having some kind of detail that makes it less basic and not taking myself too seriously.
My ideal night consists of
eating, watching a movie, and putting a face mask on, in that order.
My favorite place in the city is
Bushwick, I wouldn’t trade living here for the world. I love the families in my neighborhood and even though I grew up in the suburbs of Wisconsin it feels like home.
I find inspiration for my work and life in
spending time with the people I love, reading, and in my quiet moments at home.
In my work, I am most proud of
fighting for women I believe in.
