Few-of-a-kind earrings, designed by Catbird using antique abalone from the collection of Vito Giallo ? 93 year old artist, antiques dealer, and quintessential New Yorker.
Ed Martin owned the only antiques store in Vito?s hometown of Brewster, New York. Vito would visit his shop, and think of the people who had owned the antiques.
Made in our Brooklyn studio using 100% recycled 14k gold and ethically sourced diamonds and black pearls.
In honor of our collaboration with Vito, the Catbird Giving Fund is proud to have made a donation of $40,000 to SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization in their mission to look out for LGBTQ+ elders.
Please note, these gems contain natural inclusions and imperfections which are consistent with their age and provenance. Each one was chosen by the Catbird team for their heritage and beauty.

In 1969, Vito came into possession of a trunk full of gems, and other than selling a few to Andy, he has saved them since then. 53 years later, we are so proud to present Catbird x Vito's Gems, a collection of limited edition and one-of-a-kind jewels inspired by Vito’s New York.
