I love how poetic and magical jewelry can be. I chose jewelry as my main medium for that specific reason. While earning MFA degree, my thesis was on the power of objects; an ability to evoke some sort of response or change in our minds. How it can connect to your memory, belief, faith, etc. It doesn’t have to be anything complicated, but just to change your mood by looking at objects that are special to you. I thought the best way to explore this idea was through something portable and wearable, and that is jewelry. — Misaki Sano
