Grand Chalet Incense

Lost in Swiss Alpine pastures, at the heart of a small and peacefull village, stands the imposing and magnificent wooden structure of the Grand Chalet. It was here, in this landscape with its healing climate, that the painter Balthus made his home, enchanted by the fragrance of milk, honey and hints of citrus from ancient lime trees surrounding his studio. Today, like a wonderful memory, his favorite perfume fills this place once again.

Created in collaboration with Françoise Caron and made in Awaji, Japan - home of the best incense in the world thanks to its favorable climate, made in a thousand year old tradition handed down from father to son. Incense secret: to snuff out a burning stick, gently squeeze the tip, and set aside for later use.
