• DO YOU OFFER PIERCINGS AT ALL YOUR STORES?

  We currently offer piercing at our Williamsburg, Soho and Philadelphia locations - stay tuned for more!

• CAN I WALK IN AND GET PIERCED?

  Yes! We welcome walk-ins. Please note that there might be a short wait.

• WHAT DO YOU USE TO PIERCE?

  The Catbird team uses a hand-pressured, sterile, single-cartridge, FDA registered medical device to pierce. It’s important to note this is not a piercing gun. A Catbird piercer will use hand-pressure to place and pierce your ear with a solid 14k gold piercing earring, rather than traditional piercing guns which are spring loaded. Our devices allow for the best precision and comfort – and faster healing time.

• WHAT PART OF MY EAR CAN I GET PIERCED?

  We offer piercings on the lower lobe and outer cartilage.

• HOW LONG WILL MY PIERCING APPOINTMENT TAKE?

  Please allow 30 minutes, which includes choosing the piercing earring, the placement, piercing, and Aftercare education.

• HOW MANY PIERCINGS CAN I GET DONE IN ONE APPOINTMENT?

  We recommend up to four piercings at once. Each appointment covers two piercings, so if you book an appointment for more than two, please book accordingly. Walk-ins are flexible.

• WHAT ARE THE AFTERCARE SUGGESTIONS ONCE I GET MY PIERCING?

  Please use the provided advanced Aftercare Solution twice per day for three weeks post piercing.

• WHAT CAN I DO TO GET READY FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

  Consider where you’d like to get pierced - and perhaps consider what earring you’d like to change to when your piercing is healed! Set a piercing intention if that is your sort of thing, bring a friend, and get ready for just a little thrill.

• ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR GETTING PIERCED?

  At Catbird, the minimum piercing age is eight.

• WHAT MATERIALS ARE YOUR PIERCING EARRINGS?

  Our piercing earrings are solid 14k gold with 24k plated surgical steel backs. We also offer a stainless steel option.
