We pride ourselves in handling your orders quickly, with most in-stock items shipping within 24 hours of ordering; however, some orders may take up to 48 hours to process. If we are having a piece custom made for you, you will be notified of the wait time within 72 hours of placing your order.
Please note that occasionally in-stock items may be temporarily out-of-stock or backordered. We will make every effort to communicate any shipping delay within 24 hours of your order. Should any other unforeseen delay occur, you will be notified within 10 days of placing your order.

You can also elect to pick up at the store. Please wait until we notify you that your item is ready before coming to pick it up.
(Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is an additional $17 for UPS Ground only. Three Day shipping is only available in the 48 contiguous US states. International Orders must go through our affiliate, International Checkout. Please see information below.)
All domestic orders are shipped via UPS on business days (Monday to Friday) excluding holidays. Signature upon delivery required for orders over $200.
International shipments are shipped via wynd Worldwide (powered by DHL Express International) who provide customs clearance and door-to-door delivery service within 4-7 business days for $45.00 for orders under $5000. Additional fees apply for orders over $5000.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING THREE POINTS CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR INTERNATIONAL ORDER:
Duties and taxes are not included in the total at checkout. They are determined by the customs agency within the destination country. Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of duties and taxes will be based on the value of the order and the tax-free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination country. Payment of any duties and import taxes is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees are collected at the time of delivery.
In-stock items will take 4-7 days from the time of order. Some items are custom made and require a longer wait time - please check the item's page or email us at email@example.com.
All orders shipped internationally are final sale.
(Please be advised that gift wrapping is NOT available for international orders due to customs regulations. It is very likely that the parcel would be opened by customs, thus negating any gift wrapping services provided. This will allow your order to be delivered as quickly, safely and efficiently as possible.)
We send all domestic packages via UPS which is the most secure and easily trackable method of shipping. If your package gets lost in transit we will do everything we possibly can to assist you. We cannot be held responsible for packages once proof of delivery is generated. We ask UPS to require a signature for all items over $200. If you would like to either waive this requirement, or if you would like to ask for a signature for less than $200, please include this information under Special Instructions at checkout. (Since we cannot be responsible for delivered packages that have been lost or stolen, we highly recommend selecting a delivery address that you trust.)
We do our best to ensure items on line are in stock. However, due to traffic in our store and on line, items will occasionally sell out in the store before showing as out of stock online. We will notify you of any issues with your order as soon as possible, and appreciate your understanding!

WAIT TIMES & MORE INFO:
In-stock items leave Brooklyn via UPS within 2-3 business days of your order. If something is out of stock we will let you know your wait time via email right away. If you need something by a certain date, please email us.
In general, if your item is in stock you will receive your order within 3 - 10 business days. You will get an email with your UPS tracking number when your item is shipped. If you choose to ship your orders to multiple locations, there will be additional charges for each destination. We are unable to ship to PO Boxes. Catbird is not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery due to force of nature or other uncontrollable events.
EVEN MORE ON SHIPPING, TIMING & AVAILIBILITY:
Catbird is a tiny store that packs a real whallop in scope of designers and different types of items. We have a lot more in the store that we can offer on line, as many, many items in the store are one-of-a-kind. (Plus the whole store is about 200 square feet. How much stock can we really keep?) It often happens that we will have one of a particular piece and it will be for sale in the store as well as on-line. While we do our best to keep on top of this and only offer on line what is quickly available, there will be times where an overlap will occur. If you absolutely need something by a certain date please contact us and we will let you know if it is available, and, if it isn’t, we will do everything we can to get it for you when you need it.
We deal with many independent designers, which allows us to get things made and delivered to us on short notice. We would rather offer rings in all sizes then only the average sizes that we keep in stock. What that means is that most rings (especially ones that are not sizes 5-7) are custom made for you and can take an extra week or two. Again, if you need to know how soon you can get something, please contact us.
Please note: Paying for 3-Day Select Shipping does not guarantee that you will get your item in three days. It does, however, shorten the time your item will spend in transit. (If you live east of Ohio it is generally not worth it to pay for 3-Day Shipping unless you absolutely need a guarantee of the arrival date.)
