The Snake & Moon Necklace
A snake winds itself round the crescent moon, lit by a single shining star —the finest enameling, as if painted by a single kitten whisker.
Each piece starts its journey in Cece’s London workshop - the necklace is then passed on to one of London’s most renowned enamellers where every design is hand engraved and then hand painted using fire and crushed glass to recreate each design perfectly. Finally, it’s embellished with a star set diamond to complete the miniature scene. This meticulous process means every piece is individual to the wearer, an heirloom to last generations.
Glass enamel is a delicate, sensitive beauty. Enamel does not like chlorine in pools or even regular showers. It can wear away over time in water - think of sea glass! Enamel is also sensitive to the chemicals found in everyday products: cosmetics, hair spray, & lotions. Dropping the jewelry can cause the enamel to chip or crack.
Enamel can be regularly cleaned with soft dry cloth. For a deeper clean, use a lint-free cloth moistened with water (no soap) and wipe clean.
