Inspired by the soft kitten-like buds and branches of the pussy willow tree. A softly curved ring to wear at the bottom of the stack, also works beautifully with engagement rings.
According to an old Polish legend, a mother cat was crying at the bank of a river where her kittens were swept in. The willow at the river's edge swept her long graceful branches into the waters to rescue the tiny kittens who had fallen in chasing butterflies. The kittens held on tightly to the branches until they were safely brought ashore. Each springtime thereafter, the willow branches sprouted tiny velvet buds at their tips where the tiny kittens once held on.
